CHAEYOUNG of K-pop girl group TWICE will not be joining their upcoming concert in the Philippines due to health issues, her agency announced on Friday.
JYP Entertainment released a statement on social media saying, "Chaeyoung to be absent from upcoming Bulacan concert."
"We convey this unfortunate news with a heavy heart as we know everyone was eagerly anticipating the show. We kindly request your understanding as this decision was made after much consideration to protect the health of the artist," they added.
The agency, however, did not specify details about her condition.
TWICE is set to hold its two-day "Ready to Be" concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on September 30 and October 1.
It will be headlined with the remaining eight members Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, and Tzuyu.
The girl group, which debuted on Oct. 20, 2015, is known for their songs "What is
Love?"; "The Feels" and "Feel Special", among many others.
