Meet Macho: An Independent Spirit with a Heart of Gold
As part of a community-building initiative, KaiKai has partnered with the SPCA to help raise awareness for animal adoptions. Through this collaboration, we’re excited to introduce some of SPCA’s wonderful animals, like Macho, who are looking for their forever homes.

Macho has been with the SPCA since 2022, and he’s ready to find a loving home. At 6.5 years old, Macho is an independent and strong-willed dog who loves his meaty treats and daily walks. While he walks fairly well on a leash, he’s still learning to tug less. His excitement for the outdoors often gets the better of him, and he’s most comfortable when he can relieve himself on grass.
Macho will need a patient adopter who can give him the time he needs to warm up and build a bond of mutual trust. Behind his strong exterior, he’s like a wounded soul, left to wonder what he might have done wrong in the past. Macho would benefit from a firm and consistent trainer who can set clear boundaries, allowing him to thrive in a healthy environment.
Given his sensitive nature, Macho might not be the best fit for families with elderly individuals or young children, as sudden movements and loud noises can startle him. He’s best suited to an active, physically fit family who can match his energy during walks.
